In a heartbreaking incident on the evening of Wednesday, a crash occurred on Highway 48 in Pine County, resulting in the death of a 63-year-old man and injuries to four others. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the accident took place shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Wildlife Road and Highway 48 in Barry Township.
The unfortunate collision involved two Ford F150 trucks. According to authorities, a 2021 model was traveling east on Highway 48 when another, a 1999 model, failed to stop at the intersection. The failure to yield led to a significant impact, causing both vehicles to end up in a ditch.

The deceased has been identified as Kameron Lee Ellis, a resident of Hinckley. The 40-year-old driver of the other truck, who hails from Cambridge, was among the injured but survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, two passengers in the vehicle also sustained injuries, while one passenger remains at Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening conditions, highlighting the gravity of the crash.
